Questions For Chris Reynolds: Phone Interview

For our phone interview with Chris Reynolds, i took it on as my responsibility to gather several questions to ask him during the show. I listed the final questions we used live on air below:

1.Tell us a little bit about kids corner and the drama you wrote for it – The Tudor Times?
2. How relevant do you think radio drama is?
3. What advice would you give to people looking to write a radio drama?
4. What is the best way to utilise sound without sounding cliché?
5. What projects are you working on at the moment?

Writing Radio Drama: Pre Production Stages

Once we had returned from our Christmas break, it was time to concentrate on my final LMYE show Writing Radio Drama which would be going live on Siren FM on 22nd January 2014. Our group originally consisted of Myself as BA, Bobby Beardwell as Producer, Vikie Bennion as Presenter, Molly Hemsley as the 2nd Presenter and Darleen Maguire as Multi Platform Assistant. However once the group had got together and discussed plans for our upcoming show, it became apparent that Darleen would not be back in Lincoln till after the date on our show. Therefore one member of our team had to take her place as Multi Platform Assistant, after discussion, Molly decided that as she is the second presenter and does not have as much as a very workload in comparison to the rest of us, that she will take on Darleens original role, and we will work in a group of four instead of the usual LMYE group of five.

Once the four of us were back in Lincoln, we began to discuss of our ideas for research and interviews as well meeting arrangements via our Facebook group, where we communicated daily in the upcoming days/weeks to the show. I have attached screenshots below as proof of this:

About My Blog

My name is Kate Peel, and i am currently second year student studying Media Production at the University of Lincoln. I have a keen interest in Radio as my University modules i have chosen for this year are Scriptwriting and of course, Radio.

Although i am studying Radio within my University course, i am also interested in being involved within radio projects outside of my degree. In my first year of University, i was part of the New Wave team, a whole show dedicated to all things Media related, this was broadcasted every Tuesday from 4-5pm on the universities very own Siren FM.

This year, we had a chance to create our own Radio Show, I jumped at the chance to join a show with some of my other classmates, called The Society Show. This is where we interview a different society from the university each week, finding out a little bit more of what they are really about.

I will also be taking part in several radio shows throughout the year called Lend Me Your Ears. In this show we will take it in turns to work with different groups from within our classes taking on different roles within the team.

In this blog, i am going to keep up to date with goings-on that will occur throughout The Society Show process as well as my progress with my shows that i am involved in for Lend Me Your Ears
